Extreme sugar art

Oh my goodness, look at this dessert from Habeas Brulee! Amazing! Bubbles of caramel actually blown like glass, then yummy cardamom/lemon custard piped inside through a tiny hole. Looks very tricky indeed, but definitely one to impress. I sense an impending weekend of burnt fingers and sticky sugar strands all over the kitchen and all over me. Now where can I get my hands on a good metal tube...

Hope you picked a nice dry day! Tried it once then the weather turned wet and it got all droopy. Also made a clear toffee basket once to resemble an old-fashioned cystal basket vase with handle. Filled it with scoops of fruity icecream but between having to finish preparing it early and putting it in the freezer, the icecream and the wet weather it got an interesting pool around the base.

Don't worry Andy, I know how you love the knitting posts, there will be plenty to come so hang on. I have an exciting new technique to share that I think you'll like. Here are my excuses for now:
1. I'm on the lace part of the jumper sleeve, so down to dead slow pace again with that project.
2. It's time for Christmas knitting, so a couple more things are too secret to post until after they are with their new owners.

Wow = the bubbles look amazing! I like Andy's comment on the title of your blog! I have hardly managed to knit anything since I left for my holidays and you'll be surprised how small my yarn expansion plans have turned out to be! May make knitting on Wednesday!!
